Forget the prediction market debate for a second. Was this even a good ad? Most of the conversation around LeBron James partnering with @Polymarket has focused on the backlash toward prediction markets and whether he should be promoting one. That’s a fair discussion. But set it aside and evaluate the marketing. Polymarket assembled a massive cast of athletes and celebrities. Maybe there’s some safety in numbers, making it harder for any one person to absorb the backlash. If awareness was the goal, it worked, even if it was fueled by criticism. The spot gives you plenty of famous faces, but very little reason to choose Polymarket over Kalshi, Novig, or another prediction-market platform. Star power gets attention. The creative still has to give people a reason to care about the product. What do you think: good ad or bad ad? #sportsmarketing #sportsbusiness #contentstrategy #athletepartnerships #predictionmarkets
