Jay Holder’s first love was basketball, but because he had to provide for his family financially, he couldn’t pursue opportunities that were offered to him earlier in life 🙏
On June 12, Jay was playing in the Drew League and finished with 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. The game was live streamed and viewed by a ton of people. Shortly after, he was reached out to about playing in the TBT and accepted the offer.
After that game, Holder had NBA All-Stars tell him that he was the best scorer and best defender on a team full of professionals. Coming from not playing in high school or college to getting that type of praise from All-Stars meant a lot. It made him realize he could take this a little bit further.
Right now, Jay has a performance training company and trains NBA clients like Michael Porter Jr., and a ton of overseas guy.
This summer he’ll be suiting up with the Illinois Hoopville Warriors for TBT 2022! 🍿📺
