Nobody handed me a D1 sideline. In 2023 I started shooting for our basketball team at St. John Fisher while still playing college football. I edited between practices, traveled with the team, and learned everything on the fly. In 2024 I started shooting barbers and athletes on the side, for extra money and to build a portfolio. Then I graduated with no job lined up. I spent the summer working small gigs and applying every single day. In August, a D1 program said yes. Now I run content as a creative media GA at Detroit Mercy. If you’re still shooting in an empty gym, keep going. The work you’re doing right now is your proof. Follow along.
