Our Fall lecture series kicked off 2 weeks ago with Dr. Cathleen D. Cahill of Pennsylvania State University and The Rev. Bayer Lee, pastor of the First Chinese Baptist Church in Chinatown, discussing the influence of Chinese women on the US suffrage movement and leaders like Alva Vanderbilt. Our next lecture takes place this Thursday, October 26th, 6pm at Rosecliff, providing an insider’s look at our groundbreaking new exhibition "The Celestial City: Newport and China." Our hosts for the evening will be the exhibition's curator, Dr. Nicole Williams, and collaborator Dr. Bing Huang of Providence College. Do not miss out!
