Chateau-sur-Mer received extended air-time in Episode 6 of gildedagehbo last night on hbomax. Appearing as the home of legendary socialite Marion Fish, it is the site of a “doll party” attended by youthful guests, including Larry and Gladys Russell. This sequence includes a shot of Chateau-sur-Mer’s three-story Great Hall – looking down from above – and we also watch Mrs. Fish sweep into the Dining Room, where most of the action is set. The distinctive fireplace, with its colorful French tiles by Eugène Glück depicting a hunting scene, and its Circassian Walnut chimneypiece, is in clear view. hbo harryrrichardson taissafarmiga mansionsofthegildedage #newportmansions #chateausurmer #GildedAgeHBO #gildedage #gilded #gildedagemansions
