Years ago, the elephant at Green Animals Topiary Garden got into the Christmas spirit! This photo appears to show Christmas decorating at the garden, probably in the early 1960s. The people in the photo are unidentified, but the woman in the gray coat and white hat presumably is Miss Alice Brayton, who inherited the estate from her father in 1939 and gave the topiary garden its name. She bequeathed Green Animals to the Preservation Society upon her death in 1972. #GreenAnimalsTopiaryGarden #ThrowbackThursday #happyholidays #holidayseason #holidays
