Fifteen volunteers working at Norman Bird Sanctuary as part of The Aquidneck Stone Wall Initiative – a partnership of The Preservation Society and Preserve Rhode Island – continue to piece the past back together one stone at a time! So far in 2021, they have rebuilt 215 feet of stone wall in 205 hours. The total amount of stone wall repair work at this location since 2020 is 505 feet. It looks beautiful.
