The assassin bug may have a nasty name, but for us humans, it is harmless. Actually, it's beneficial because it eats aphids, leafhoppers and caterpillars that harm garden plants and trees. In real life, the assassin bug ranges from about ½ to 1¼ inches in length. The one in the "David Rogers’ Big Bugs" exhibition at Green Animals Topiary Garden is considerably bigger. See for yourself the next time you visit! David Rogers’ Big Bugs is included with regular admission to Green Animals.
