Not all the elegant sculptures in the “David Rogers’ Big Bugs” exhibition at Green Animals Topiary Garden are enormous. And at least one of them is not even what you’d consider a bug. But the hummingbird is an important pollinator, and this exhibition aims to educate visitors about the crucial role pollinators play in nature. And there are so many fun facts associated with the hummingbird! For example, did you know they need to eat roughly every 15 minutes? Or that they are the only bird that can fly backward? Or that the average hummingbird eats half its weight in sugar each day? This exhibition is included with regular admission, free for Preservation Society members.
