When you visit “Tiffany Glass: Painting with Color and Light,” an exhibition organized by theneustadt now at Rosecliff, look for this remarkable Dragonfly Reading Lamp (circa 1899) designed by Clara Driscoll. Encouraged by Tiffany Studios’ management to create affordable objects, Driscoll successfully balanced artistry and profitability in her designs. She was honored at the Paris World’s Fair of 1900 with two bronze medals – one for a Dragonfly lamp and one for metalwork. Learn more about the talented chemists, designers and artisans who worked together to realize Tiffany’s artistic vision when you view the exhibition.
