"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our first family visit to Snowdonia did not disappoint. The route planner to the site was easy to follow on the whole and although some roads were narrow and challenging as you would expect from the area, the scenery was spectacular... The weather was hot throughout our 8 night stay and despite a couple of storms which caused power cuts at the site for 15 minutes each time there were no issues...Porthmadog is a 10 mile drive but has all the choice of shops you need. Betws-Y-Coed is a lovely place too with lots of shops, particularly outdoor clothing and equipment and nice options to eat in or out and a wonderful waterfall to eat chips or a picnic by. Within a 30-40 minute drive there are lovey beaches at Pwllheli and Abersoch. Portmeirion is a wonderful place to see too especially wo walk through the forest up to the view point overlooking the estuary.
