"We have just spent a great week at Balbirnie. If, like us, you park up and then make the most of your bus pass, this is the site for you. The bus stops situated at the park gates give you access to the whole of Fife and much further. We had a great week exploring during the day and chilling, on site, at night. The facilities are spotless and the wardens work very hard especially clearing leaves which, at this time, must be thankless. The charming town of Markinch is a short walk away and is well served by two general stores and the railway station. The adjacent Balbirnie Park gives access to some beautiful, all seasons, walks.
