A clinical West Ham United women’s team secured a 2-1 win at Leicester City in the Barclays Women’s Super League on Sunday. The two goals that settled the game were moments of brilliance, as the Hammers showed our quality with brilliant attacking football at King Power Stadium. Netting her first goal for the Club, Verena Hanshaw’s free-kick opened the scoring on 34 minutes before Shekiera Martinez broke with pace to fire home our second just after the hour. A grandstand finish was set up when Eva Nyström unfortunately slid the ball into her own net six minutes from time, but the Hammers held on to record our first WSL win under Head Coach Rita Guarino. #WestHam #WSL #ThreePoints #FootballTikTok #Woso
