People might see the goal he scored for Ireland last night and the numbers he’s been putting up for the past couple of seasons and think it’s been an easy journey to the top but there’s a lot to learn from Troy’s story. 🙏🏽 Scored goals for fun in the youth ranks at Spurs and looked destined to break through but struggled to find opportunities in the first team... even had to suffer the pain of seeing his penalty saved in an FA Cup shootout vs Norwich. Then came the loans. Milwall and Preston in the Champ and MK Dons and Preston in League One. ✍🏽 After that Troy’s path took him to the Netherlands... trying a new league to try and change the narrative with an Excelsior loan before a permanent move to AZ which saw him bag 51 goals in 97 games. 🔥 Now he’s hit the ground running in La Liga with Real Betis and he’s become the star of his national team. It wasn’t a straightforward path to the top but Troy Parrott never gave up. 😮‍💨 #TroyParrott #Ireland #RealBetis #Football #Risingball...
