On April 29th 2023, 15-year-old Lamine Yamal made his debut for Barcelona. He shared the pitch for 7 minutes with Ansu Fati and Ousmane Dembele. At the time Dembele was returning from a hamstring injury that had kept him out for 4 months and his career at Barcelona was considered over by many fans. He left the club that summer before winning the Champions League and Ballon d’Or two years later. Ansu Fati was having his most injury-free season of his career but had failed to establish himself as a regular for Barcelona despite the hype around him years earlier. He left on loan for Brighton two months later. Lamine Yamal was a complete unknown at the time but he would go on to exceed all expectations at Barcelona. #barcelona #yamal #dembele
