In January 2021, Victor Gyökeres joined Coventry from Brighton on an initial loan before joining permanently for £1million. In his first full season at the club he scored 17 goals in 45 games, finishing as the club’s top scorer. In his second season Gyökeres scored 21 in helping Coventry to reach the play-off final where they lost on penalties in heartbreaking fashion. He joined Sporting that summer for €20 million before going to Arsenal last summer for €60 million. He credits Coventry as the club who helped turn his career around. “After three loans, finally being part of a club changed everything.” #gyokeres #arsenal #coventry
