This week's featured hero is Kadi Klein! Kadi is an artist with an optimistic attitude. In 2019, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and began treatment the same day. After narrowly escaping a full leg amputation, Kadi was declared cancer-free. Then just a few months later, doctors found another large tumor in her right pelvis. Thankfully, chemotherapy eradicated the cancer and Kadi has been NED ever since. Despite the good news, chemo induced early-stage kidney failure and progressive cardiomyopathy. Due to the nature of her relapse, it is likely Kadi will relapse again. She is still waiting for her cure. You can read Kadi's story on the homepage this week!
