I’ve been trying to find the words to summarise what Saturday’s race meant to me and it’s become quickly apparent that I really don’t have enough or too many. At the end of the day, Saturday was an example of how hard work pays off, and that having fun with your sport is everything. I’ve been so overwhelmed by the number of kind messages, comments and other communications I’ve received, and I really only have a million and one thank you’s to dish out in every direction. Thank you to the WOO Lady Ducks who I get to train with every day, thank you to the medical staff, to my professors, to everyone in my immediate circle who have supported me, my family, the community at Oregon TF, Jerry, the list goes on.
