Let’s give it up for Bradley, who is celebrating five years without cancer! 💪🏻💪🏽💪🏼 When he was just 5 years old, he was diagnosed with kidney cancer, and an ultrasound showed an 8-inch tumor weighing more than 3 pounds in his kidney. After undergoing a successful surgery to remove his left kidney and the entire tumor, Bradley required blood and platelet transfusions to help his body recover and heal, and he underwent 19 weeks of chemotherapy treatments. “When you’re struck with a nightmare, the last thing you want to do is to worry about what you need,” said his mother, Mandy. “We’re so grateful the blood that Bradley needed was available when he needed it most.” Now, Bradley is 10 years old, and to celebrate his cancer-free milestone, his family hosted a blood drive with MNDaksRedCross to raise awareness of the need for blood — the community came together and rolled up a sleeve, and 49 blood donations were made in his honor.
