Before there was Mayweather, Victoria Police boasted its very own heavy weight boxing champion (albeit, not as well paid). From 1956 to 1960, Ronald James (Squizzy) Taylor was the heavy weight boxing champion of Victoria Police. Among his many sporting talents, Taylor was the Victorian and Australian Heavy Weight boxing champion and represented Australia at the 1960 Rome Olympic Games.
