Today Victoria Police are celebrating #wearitpurpleday to show support for the LGBTI community. Wear it Purple Day promotes the simple message that you have the right to be proud of who you are regardless of sexuality or gender identity. By wearing purple, it shows rainbow young people everywhere that their support-base is far greater than they could have anticipated. Before raising the rainbow flag AC Steve Fontana said it was an important day to support the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) community. “It is very important to show our support for all young people.
