You may have noticed the letters A and O missing in our name. That’s because they represent the main blood types, which are in danger of going missing too. That’s why Victoria Police are proud to support the #MissingType campaign to help fill the gaps. While we have your attention, Victoria Police are currently in the lead for the Emergency Services blood challenge. Since 1 June, our fearless members have donated blood as part of this yearly competitive donation drive which pits our members up against our blood brothers and sisters at VICSESNews, ambulancevic, cfavic, royalflyingdoc, delwp_vic, stjohnvic and melbournemfb to see which emergency service can donate the most blood. While we are pretty confident we’ll take out the state title for a third year in a row (no pressure, everyone), we’ll need to keep the pressure on ourselves before the challenge ends on 31 August in order beat the CFA who are currently trailing us by 25 donations.
