It might sound like a scene from a Hollywood blockbuster worthy of therock but it was all in a day’s work for our Air Wing members yesterday. Hot on the tail of an alleged crook, the Air 490 landed in the middle of an under-construction roadway and moved on foot to make an arrest following a sighting of a vehicle with stolen plates. It’s not every day that Air Wing members get to be the arresting officers. However, in a display of exemplary work, they successfully arrested a 27-year-old Deer Park man and then handed him over to Highway Patrol. With safety restored, the Air Wing team took to the sky in search of their next job. #AirWing #VicPol #VictoriaPolice #FlightRisk #HighwayPatrol
