Esmir Bajraktarević, the 21-year-old PSV Eindhoven winger, shocked the world by burying the winning penalty to eliminate Italy and send Bosnia and Herzegovina to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Though born and raised in Wisconsin, USA, Esmir chose to represent Bosnia. He shares how his parents fled the horrors of the 1995 Srebrenica genocide, how he grew up idolising Edin Džeko, and what it truly feels like to now share the world’s biggest football stage with his childhood hero. #FIFAWorldCupOnYT #switzerland #bosniaandherzegovina #bajraktarevic Switzerland v Bosnia and Herzegovina | FIFA World Cup 2026™ | June 18 2026 | Pre-game FOLLOW FIFA’S TOURNAMENT CHANNELS BELOW!
