This man “First shirt” Sgt. Ricardo Hayes. Decorated Vietnam veteran became instrumental in the life of a young man who was in way too deep. His expectations were high. It took me a while, but one day he said he was proud to be my Sgt! Sgt Hayes... “and you know that”. I continue to salute you. RIP Sgt. Hayes. It’s crazy what one would have to go through to find his way in life. I’ve been so fortunate. All of you who had my back, and I had yours. We are forever bonded. #brothers #forever #14th #southbronx #lincolnknights #young #markviera #poviera #clean #sharp #meninuniform #salute #restinpeace
