The Burmese Python is one of mother natures most beautiful creations, yet it’s often viewed as a villain in the United States. This species is invasive in Florida and is rapidly destroying the Everglades, but instead of pointing a finger at the snake, this issue should make us re-examine how the pet trade has gotten out of control.   Around the world, countless species are captured and sold for profit, and many of them end up escaping into non-native habitats. The Burmese Python is the perfect example of this; only a handful of snakes made it into the wild in the 1970’s, and just a few decades later, there’s upwards of 100,000 Pythons living in South Florida.   Removing this snake helps protect the delicate ecosystem of the Everglades, but should also serve as a reminder to never support the pet trade, and just because a species in invasive, doesn’t mean it should be treated harshly New episode now live on our YouTube channel, link in bio 🔗 #coyotepeterson #bravewilldeness #raytiller ...
