The Marvel Cinematic Universe remains the most successful film franchise in box office history, with 37 films released since production began in 2007 within a single shared universe built by Marvel Studios. Studio president Kevin Feige has produced every film in the franchise and has overseen its long-term creative direction since the beginning. The Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Entertainment for about $4 billion in 2009, securing the character library that continues to power the MCU, with at least eight more films already in development. (via @Wikipedia) #highestgrossing #film #franchise #marvel #spiderman
