Stops on the self-guided, self-paced tour from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Aug. 12 are along a one-mile route, making it possible to reach each of the seven destinations by walking, biking or driving. Historians have documented that the Steiner family of carpenters and stonemasons built 100 cabins, mostly on wooded land between Brightwood and Government Camp from 1928 to 1952.
