It truly is all about the journey- the very literal blood, sweat and tears that happens along the way that no one witnesses. That journey is what defines us and creates our character, not the end result, though that’s what we strive so hard for. I feel for every athlete’s crash, every save, every nerve, and every exhale before it begins and after it finishes. It’s all those small moments that tend to stay with you long after winning or losing. May we all remember when we’re on top of the mountain or in the depths of the valley, that a single moment in time is not who we are.
