Today we saw some signs of excitement from our newest little one! . She found markers in a bag this morning, and immediately gasped and said her second word since she’s been with us. Apparently Dakaia likes to color. . At lunch she wanted to go in a high char, so I ate my first meal without her on my lap. When the food came out she just took my plate of rice, asked nicely for Daddy’s spoon and proceeded to eat half of it then neatly sorted it to each corner of the plate over and over. . We went to a traditional Ethiopian restaurant tonight and when the injera came out, she nearly leaped off my leg! That girl can shovel some serious food into that tiny body! . There were some tears this afternoon, I’m sure from SO many different things. I can’t wait to get her on a normal routine. It’s been a hard schedule for a little one here with all we have to do.
