It's possibly one of the most important meets of my life, not because it was my first win, but because I was going through a lot in my life and was literally closing in on the end of my rope. In the middle of this competition, I gave my life to Christ. I had no business winning in the state that I was in. Humbly and shakily standing on that award stand, I realized what God was already teaching me. He was showing me that when I put my life fully in His hands, I can trust Him with the outcome.
