This is a reminder I need right now. If you’ve ever been the best at something and then had to start completely over, you know there are a lot of emotions and unique challenges involved. I’m not yet at the level I was when I retired in 2008, I know that. But I’m also not at the very beginning again. I have to be realistic with my own expectations at this stage in the game, but at the same time, I have to push myself with knowledge of where I am capable of being and even beyond.
