We got updated pictures of Dakaia (our baby girl in Ethiopia) today and It. Broke. Me. I was so excited to see her, but as soon as I saw the pictures my heart sank, like plunged into some deep darkness. She is beautiful, healthy and I even saw a bit of a smile. But she has changed and grown so much since our last update, and we're missing it. Not sure there is anything harder in the world than knowing you can't get to your baby.
