"Having the right training and knowing how to use lifesaving equipment can change the trajectory of someone’s life." In a room of 100 people during a work event, two colleagues came to Roger Wolf's rescue when he suddenly collapsed. Dan Cotton rushed to his side while Mark Paul, who received lifesaving training in the military, called 911 and grabbed an AED. “When I saw Roger on the floor, I felt for a pulse and there was barely one there," Dan said. "I knew he required immediate attention and the clock was ticking." The lifesaving duo used an AED and Hands-Only CPR until EMTs arrived. Three words that Mark said rang through his mind were: "Every second counts." Dan and Mark were honored as lifesaving heroes at a RedCrossIL fundraising event. Thanks to their quick thinking and efforts, Roger is alive today. ❤️ "I have a life I get to share with my loved ones all thanks to the people who were trained and stepped in when it mattered most," Roger said. #LifesavingTraining #CPR #AED ...
