Every second counts in an emergency. Just ask Craig Gay of Indianapolis, who knew he had to act fast when he found a woman stuck inside a burning car. Here’s what happened. ⬇️ While on his way home from work one night, Craig spotted a car that crashed into a guardrail and caught fire. He rushed over and found a woman still in the driver’s seat. Craig called 911 and tried to talk the driver out of the car, but she was too disoriented to respond. Craig knew he needed help as the flames began to spread. He began flagging down other drivers who helped him pull the woman out of the car to safety. “Two more minutes and it would have been too late,” Craig explained. “As soon as we got her out and across the street, the car was engulfed.” Craig's quick thinking and bravery helped save a life that night. To recognize his heroic actions, he was awarded the Certificate of Extraordinary Personal Action by IndianaRedCross. Way to be amazing, Craig! 🫶🏿 #LifesavingAwards
