Fashion loves a makeover. And wow, did #PeterDo electrify #HelmutLang. Inspired, perhaps, by Lang’s career-defining FW ‘94 collection, Do added raspberry red and yellow sashes, stripes, belts and harnesses to boxy blazers, coats and noticeably mid-rise trousers. Do wanted us to picture the colors of the city from a speeding car—but also, in his partnership with Vietnamese American poet #OceanVuong, who wrote the words of longing printed across the runway, shirts, and tees—his former home. As the models crossed paths across the stage, they signified a mesmerizing journey indeed.
