The Auburn Football uniform we know today has remained rather untouched since it was solidified in 1966. But the decades prior were full of design experimentation. And one uniform in 1929 was one of the more unique looks. For just one season, the Auburn Tigers wore their name on their chests - literally. A large tiger head was placed on the front of the shirts worn on the gridiron. There weren't player numbers, just the large cat cranium. We unfortunately don't have many photos of this time. Just a single headshot of a player on the squad is the best look available at the entire uniform. So what if Auburn were to bring these back one day? (It would be our choice!) While it's easy to imagine that the shirts were white, there's also a possibility that they were more off-white or cream. And while helmets weren't much of a thing then, we have to outfit today's players in some sort of head protection. So let's stay to the era and make the helmet look like an old leather shell.
