Come with us to bring home a longhorn! This weekend another dream came true as I purchased SH Workin’ Melva, an 11 year old Longhorn from Kimes Ranch Longhorns! Melva was born in Louisiana, lived in Texas and Arizona and will now reside in Idaho for the rest of her days 🥰 Why did I buy a Longhorn? I don’t know, I’ve just always wanted one! 🤪 My relationship with Kimes has grown over the years and when I saw Melva in their sale pen, it just felt right to pursue ownership! My husband is on board and loves her so much already. We are fascinated by her every move. Melva has been exposed to a bull and could be bred, so if she has a calf this winter, I’ll be sure to share that journey. If not, my brother is certified in AI and maybe this spring I’d breed her!
