I got my first cutting horse lesson this weekend while in Texas thanks to @nchacutting !!! The NCHA invited me out to @kodyporterfield place and put me on “Rey Luis” for my first lesson. Leading up to the experience, I had all sorts of feelings. I was really nervous, given the fact I am not that confident on a horse in general, I was also really excited. Nothing like pushing your comfort levels with a once in a life time opportunity like this. I knew they’d take care of me and keep me safe and with my travel plans to already be in Texas this past weekend, I said YES!! Getting mic’d up and filmed by @salty_roan was second nature but holding onto the horn and working the flag with Rey Luis had me sweating 😅 (him and the Texas humidity!)
