Today’s Monumental Story comes from Tony Blevins. ———————- Hey Guys, my name is Tony Blevins im 41 This will be my 1st Marathon! Exciting Right! Yes and Nerve Racking at the same time. My journey starts with my Grandson Elliot Hudson. Elliot is currently 3 yrs old and will be 4 by the time we run in Nov. He is a HLHS child. Which means when he was born his left ventricle didnt develop. Too decribe: We have two pumpers he has only one. At 4 days old then 5 months then 3 yrs old he had open heart surgery at all 3 dates. He is a warrior along with so many other Heart babys and Families that continue to Fight today. We had been involved with many fund raisers and social involvement to bring awareness too pediatric heart defects. I started running in June of 2017 at the Wild Hearts Fun Run in LEXINGTON,Ky. Since that time what my Grandson has went thru and so many Families that have the courage to continue the good fight and support there loved ones that has pushed me to be more than i am....
