This BQ story comes from theule23 : I ran my first Indy Monumental Marathon in 2016, not really thinking about it, but missed a BQ by 2 minutes. I then trained for a year and got a BQ in 2017, with the "old" standards, but only by 50 seconds and did not get in. With the qualifying standards dropped 5 minutes I dropped my time five and a half minutes in 2018 for another BQ, which I believe will now get me in for 2020!
