I remember a day in the hospital when I visited my friend and her sweet little boy who was fighting cancer. I tried to be strong, funny and upbeat. I didn’t want to cry in front of him, but as soon as I looked into the eyes of my friend who I’ve known since 2nd grade, his mom who was going through hell, I lost it and the tears gushed out. My mind couldn’t wrap around the fact that she had to be strong every minute of the day not knowing what was going to happen. Seeing her baby in pain was just too much.
