There was a time when my girls were little… and they asked, “Mom, can we wear matching dresses?” I searched everywhere… but nothing included me. And instead of just saying yes, I had to have a conversation I wasn’t ready for… about body sizes… about why mommy couldn’t match them. That not everybody included mommy. It broke my heart. Fast forward to now… at a mommy-and-me tea party with my little Lettie— both of us feeling beautiful in our matching dresses. And this time, I didn’t have to explain anything.
