There will never be the perfect words to express just how deep my gratitude is for this opportunity. Growing up, I was taught that nothing ever will come for free. There was nothing ever handed to me that I didn’t have to go out and fight for. And now, I like to think some of the fruit of my labor born with The Anania Show. I made this show for the little girl in Iowa, who doesn’t know she’s a girl yet, who needs to laugh today. I wrote it for the person who just went no contact with their birth family and wants to feel connected to something. I wrote this for the Queer icons who came before me and made sure that their voices were heard loud and clear.
