Our farm operates entirely on solar energy. Each aeroponic tower is powered by a 45-watt submersible pump located in the bottom reservoir. The pump runs on a timed cycle of 3 minutes on and 12 minutes off, totaling about 4.8 hours of active operation per day. That equals roughly 216 watt-hours (0.216 kWh) per pump daily, or 6.5 kWh per month per tower which is an extremely efficient energy demand compared to traditional farming systems.
