Another reason why middle and high school students 11-18 years old should participate in our 2022 Ocean Awareness Contest: the We All Rise Prize 💰 In past years, we’ve seen awesome participation in the Contest from white and Asian identifying students. And that’s great! But we also want to create a space for Black, Indigenous, and Latine youth to feel empowered to speak up for our blue planet 🤲🏽 🤲🏿 🌎 🤲🏻 🤲🏾 🤲🏼 The We All Rise Prize is a chance for students in the U.S. who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or Latine to win more prize money on top of the hundreds of awards we already offer to Ocean Awareness Contest participants 🤑 Ten $750 awards in both the Junior Division (ages 11-14) and Senior Division (ages 15-18)—a total of 20 awards—will be offered for entries that show notable artistic achievement in their category.
