We’re PUMPED to welcome some new judges to our Bow Seat Crew this year, including Kayla! 😍 For all of y’all who participated in the Creative Writing category of the 2021 Ocean Awareness Contest, we can’t wait to share your pieces with her. 🤗 Kayla teaches creative writing classes at GrubStreet (grubwriters), mostly through the Young Adult Writers Program. ✍🏽 Her political work centers immigration, labor, ending gender-based violence, and human rights. As a Bow Seat judge, she’s especially excited to engage with youth voices through this important blend of intersectional activism and artistry 🎨 ✊🏽 Kayla holds a B.A. in Creative Writing and a B.A. in Comparative Politics from pitzercollege. Her published work is coming out this fall! 😮 · · · #featurefriday #OceanAwarenessContest #2021OceanAwarenessContest #creativewriting #creativewritingcommunity #writinginspo #writingtips #writingmotivation #massachusettswriter
