Climate change threatens the continuation of life as we know it on planet Earth. Birds, who display such diversity and live on every continent, are threatened in a multitude of ways. In "Darkening Blue, Ethan F. S_M_E_G_G (Age 13, Canada) focuses on the threats of climate change on penguins. These unique, flightless birds live in the southern hemisphere, and many species of penguins depend on the rapidly melting sea ice for their survival. Unfortunately, the Trump administration has refused to give Endangered Species Act protections to the most vulnerable penguins, such as Emperor Penguins that live in Antarctica. 🐧 Only a reduction in greenhouse has emissions can save these iconic birds. ❄️ #oceanart #oceanawareness #biodiversity #blueplanet #birdsofinstram #birdlovers #birdstagram #birdsofinsta #birds_of_ig #bird #birds #penguin #penguins #climatechange #climatecrisis #climateaction
