Not only is Audrey Lin the Bronze Award winner of our 2019 Marine Debris Creative Advocacy Competition, but she is also one of the teen leaders of the Massachusetts Climate Strike! 🙌 . Audrey's campaign,"Matting Change," tackled two issues simultaneously, organizing people in the Boston area to transform single-use plastic bags into crocheted sleeping mats for young people experiencing homelessness. Overall, Audrey’s campaign prevented roughly 15,000 plastic bags from entering the ocean or waste stream through the creation of 25 sleeping mats for a local youth homeless shelter! Thank you for your amazing leadership, Audrey! 💙🙏💚 .
