Victorie S.'s (Age 11, Massachusetts) painting "Unnatural Doings" reminds us of the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale on #EndangeredSpeciesDay. . Victorie's depiction of the whale entangled in fishing lines reveals one of the challenges that they face when navigating waters in the Gulf of Maine. Of her inspiration, Victorie writes, "I created what I did because I feel like there needs to be more effort in saving the North Atlantic right whales... This was a very eye-opening experience for me!" . If you are a young artist, writer, filmmaker, or musician who cares about the health our blue planet, enter the Ocean Awareness Contest!
